1. Do we need to have own an instrument?

Answer: Yes, much like any musical lessons, learners will need access to an instrument for learning and practice. The Wind Academia (TWA) collaborates with various musical instrument companies, offering the option to rent or purchase an instrument that suits your learning needs at affordable prices.

2. What are the materials we need to have for lessons?

Answer: For the lessons, you will need to purchase a class method book. Additionally, it's advisable to have stationery to take notes and mark important details (we recommend using a pencil). The Wind Academia (TWA) will provide sheet music that the class will work on for the concert performance.

3. What are the instrument available for learning?

Answer: You have the choice of instruments from three distinct families:

  1. The Woodwind family includes Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Oboe, and Bassoon.
  2. The Brass family comprises the Trumpet, Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, and Tuba.
  3. The Percussion family encompasses both tuned and untuned instruments.

4. What if the instrument that I chose is not suitable for me?

Answer: After you've signed up for our Band Experience, we will conduct a personalised consultation session to assist you in identifying a suitable instrument that aligns with your preferences and abilities.

5. I've never had any musical experience, but I regret missing the chance to join a band during my school years. Can I still learn to play an instrument and participate in your program?

Answer: Absolutely! Our Band Experience is crafted specifically for individuals like you, regardless of prior musical knowledge or experience. There's no age limit for joining our beginner band experience. Whether you're starting from scratch or have never played an instrument before, our program warmly welcomes everyone who's eager to learn. Our aim is to provide a supportive and inclusive environment where you can pick up an instrument, explore music, and embark on a fulfilling musical journey with us.

6. I was in a band during my school years, but it's been quite a few years since then, and I've completely lost touch with playing my instrument. I'm not sure if I even remember how to play it anymore.

Answer: Our Band Experience is the perfect opportunity for you to reconnect with your instrument in a supportive and encouraging environment. Even if it's been some time since you last played, our program is designed to help you rediscover your musical abilities.
